It’s the most awaited time of the year. It’s the time to paint the town red with the happening buzz of Frolic. Frolic is much like a festival celebrated annually at RVSCET, Jamshedpur. Frolic at RVSCET is a three-day mega event which focuses on sports, creative and artistic activities and most importantly, on building up a strong and everlasting kinship between the students of various branches and different batches. It is said that sports is the best way of uniting people, and this is really very well justified every year in Frolic. Besides being hungry for victory, the sportsmanship spirit and the compassion that the players show for each other is something which is truly adorable.
This year, Frolic is going to be organised from the 10th of this month to the 12th of this month. …………. would be the chief guest who would solicit the occasion with his gracious presence. The in-house dignitaries, viz. the Hon'ble Chairman, Mr Binda Singh sir, the Secretary, Mr Bharat Singh sir, the Treasurer, Mr Shatrughna Singh sir, the executive member of the Governing Body, Mr Shakti Singh sir, the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) R.N. Gupta, the Dean of Academic Affairs, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari sir and the Dean of Research and Planning, Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Sharma sir apart from the HODs of the different branches and faculty members would spare their precious time for the celebration.
The games and activities that would be organised are cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, tug of war, badminton, chess, carrom, rangoli, T-shirt painting, track and field events and musical chair. The quarter-final for the games started from 9th of January, 2019 and all the games will approach towards the end by 12th of January, 2019. There are six houses who would compete for the trophy. They are Concreto(CE), Logical(CSE), Silicon(ECE), Power(EEE), Torque (ME) and Steelium(MTE). At the end of the ceremony, prizes would be distributed to the winners and runner-ups. This would mark the end of the mega event. Fingers crossed! Although participating is more important than winning, yet it would be a delight to witness that which branch would get maximum laurels and become the winner.
