The Department of Mechanical Engineering at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, was established in 2004 with a commitment to academic excellence and holistic student development. It offers a comprehensive B.Tech program focused on the principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, manufacturing, and design. PSO1: Graduates will exhibit their proficiency with applied mathematics and sophisticated software tools for thermal analysis, design specification, development, fabrication, testing, and operation of the physical systems, parts, and procedures that make up mechanical engineering.

Mechanical engineering graduates will have the strong fundamental technical knowledge and will be capable to develop core competency in diversified areas such as thermal engineering, design, production, industrial engineering, and allied fields with the use of various software tools like flow and thermal analysis, etc. to expand their knowledge horizon and inculcate lifelong learning.
