About the Department

The Department of Electrical Engineering at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, offers a Diploma program focused on developing strong practical skills and industry readiness in electrical systems and applications. The program provides a solid foundation in essential areas such as electrical circuits, power systems, control systems, basic electronics, and renewable energy technologies.

Students gain hands-on experience through well-equipped laboratories and practical training in wiring, machine operation, and electrical system maintenance. The department provides exposure to electrical panels, substation, and power distribution systems, as well as basic PLC and industrial automation training, enabling students to understand real-world applications and safety practices. Training is further strengthened through industrial visits, workshops, and skill-based sessions aligned with current industry requirements.

With the guidance of experienced faculty and a focus on practical learning, students develop the technical competence and confidence required to work in real industrial environments. Graduates of this program find opportunities in power plants, manufacturing industries, electrical maintenance services, and infrastructure projects in roles such as technician, junior engineer, and field support staff.
