About the Department

The Department of Mechatronics Engineering at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, offers a Diploma program designed to prepare students for modern industries driven by automation and smart technologies. Mechatronics is an interdisciplinary field that integrates mechanical engineering, electronics, and control systems to develop intelligent machines and automated solutions.

The program focuses on core areas such as basic mechanics, electrical and electronic systems, sensors and actuators, control systems, PLC programming, robotics, and industrial automation. Students gain hands-on experience through well-equipped laboratories and practical training in automation systems, CNC machines, and modern industrial equipment.

To enhance practical exposure, the department organizes industrial visits, skill-based workshops, and expert sessions. Students are encouraged to participate in technical and extracurricular activities, helping them develop problem-solving skills, teamwork, and technical confidence required in real industrial environments, making them industry-ready for both employment and higher studies.
