The sixth annual techno-cultural fest, Provenance-6.0, commenced with colorful celebrations at RVS College of Engineering and Technology. The program began in the college auditorium with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, followed by a Saraswati Vandana dance performance by the college students. Thereafter, the Chairman of RVS Educational Trust, Mr. Binda Singh, welcomed the chief guests — Captain Manish Sinha, Head of Sports Department at Tata Steel, and Sports Officer Dr. Hasan Imam by presenting them with shawls and mementos. Meanwhile, the CEO of Aarna Tech. Consultant Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Harish Kumar, was welcomed by the Treasurer of the college, Mr. Shatrughna Singh, with a shawl and a memento. During the inaugural session, apart from the chief guests, the dignitaries present on the stage included RVS Trust Chairman Mr. Binda Singh, Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh, Treasurer Mr. Shatrughna Singh, Governing Body Member Mr. Shakti Singh, guest Mr. Sanjay Mishra, Principal Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, former Director Dr. R. N. Gupta, and others. In his welcome address, Principal Dr. Tiwari appealed to all teachers and students to maintain peace and discipline and make the event successful. Chief Guest Captain Sinha said that it was his first visit to the college and what impressed him most was the blend of technical and cultural activities scheduled over the two-day event. He encouraged all participants to showcase their passion while maintaining honesty and discipline in their performances. Guest Dr. Hasan Imam also praised the college management and said that just as Jamshedji Tata had envisioned a beautiful city, similarly, good people have contributed to building well-organized and excellent institutions in the city. He added that students from this institution are bringing glory not only to India but also across the world. He especially congratulated Mr. Harish Kumar, who was present at the event, for his achievements. The Secretary of the institution, Mr. Bharat Singh, also encouraged all students to actively participate in the techno-cultural fest and asked them to enjoy the two-day celebration wholeheartedly before returning to academics.
