RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, inaugurated a five-day inter-college workshop today, focusing on the theme “IoT-based Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design.” The event commenced with an online inaugural session graced by Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Jharkhand University of Technology, Ranchi, who attended as the chief guest.

The workshop began with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Shri Shatrughan Singh, Treasurer of RVS Educational Trust, along with Principal Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari and T&P Head Dr. Vikram Sharma. Dr. Sushant Mohanty, Head of the ECE Department and workshop coordinator, extended a warm welcome to all guests. In his address, Dr. Mohanty underscored the significance of the workshop’s theme, emphasizing its relevance in today’s tech-driven world.

Principal Prof. Dr. Tiwari provided an insightful overview of Design Thinking, Critical Thinking, and Innovation Design, particularly in the context of IoT. He highlighted the growing dependence on smart devices and their transformative impact on daily life. Chief Guest Prof. (Dr.) D.K. Singh elaborated on how IoT is revolutionizing innovation, offering fresh perspectives on problem-solving and creativity.

Shri Shatrughan Singh remarked that while workshops are a regular feature at the institution, this event promises to foster a deeper understanding of innovation. The session was attended by esteemed faculty members, including Prof. Krishna Murari, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Sanatan Prasad, and Prof. Y.P. Rao.
