RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET), Jamshedpur, celebrated National Youth Day with a vibrant drawing competition organized by the NSS (National Service Scheme) wing. The event, held on January 11, 2025, was significant as it commemorated the 163rd birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, a revered spiritual leader and a key figure in inspiring the youth of India. The central theme of the event focused on Swami Vivekananda’s teachings and the pivotal role of youth in the process of nation-building, encouraging students to reflect on his philosophy and its relevance in contemporary times.

The competition was organized under the leadership of NSS Chief Programme Officer Dr. Dilip Kumar Haldar, Programme Officer Dr. Rahidas Kumar, and Prof. Kunal Kumar, who played an active role in overseeing the event. The President and Vice President of the NSS wing also participated actively, offering their guidance and support to the students throughout the event. A total of 30 enthusiastic students from different departments of the college took part in the competition, showcasing their artistic skills and creativity through drawings inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s philosophies, including youth empowerment, spirituality, and the importance of national development.

This event not only provided a platform for students to express their creativity but also encouraged them to delve into the core values promoted by Swami Vivekananda. The artworks demonstrated a deep understanding of how the youth can contribute to the progress of the nation. At the conclusion of the competition, the winners were recognized for their exceptional talent and awarded certificates and prizes as a token of appreciation. The event wrapped up with a heartfelt vote of thanks, underscoring the significance of such initiatives in nurturing the creative and intellectual potential of young minds, as well as fostering a deeper sense of responsibility among the youth for nation-building.
