The event was organized by the NSS wing of the college in collaboration with the National Digital Library (NDLI) Club, marking a significant occasion to honor the legacy of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The ceremony began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and offering floral tributes, performed by dignitaries including The Treasurer Mr. Shatrughan Singh, Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Dr. Sudhir Jha, Dean Academy, Dean Administration, and others. The event also featured an online connection with the Chief Guest, Mr. Arunabh Sengupta, who delivered a deeply insightful and inspirational speech on the life and impact of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Mr. Sengupta, an executive member of Akhil Bharat Vivekanand Yuva Mahamandal, former AGM at DC Industrial Plant Services Private Limited, and former assistant editor of the bilingual magazine Vivek-Jeevan, shared profound insights into Netaji’s ideology and vision. He discussed how the teachings of Swami Vivekananda profoundly influenced Netaji’s thoughts and sparked his dedication to India’s freedom struggle. This intellectual transformation was pivotal in shaping Netaji’s journey, driving him to serve the nation with relentless passion. The event saw participation from 166 students registered in the NDLI Club, with their involvement underscoring the program’s success. The program was organized under the able guidance of the Chief Program Officer, Dr. D. K. Haldar, and supported by program officers Dr. Rahidas Kumar, Prof. Rahul Ranjan, Prof. Kunal Sarkar, and Prof. Moni Mandal. Their concerted efforts played a crucial role in making the program a memorable and impactful one. The celebration conveyed a powerful message of Netaji’s enduring spirit and commitment to the nation, motivating students to uphold his legacy and contribute towards the country’s progress. The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhir Jha, expressing gratitude to all attendees and participants for making the event a grand success.
