The three-day techno-cultural fest Provenance 5.0, organized by RVS College of Engineering and Technology, concluded with grandeur and vibrant celebrations. The event brought together students, faculty, and guests for a dynamic blend of technical innovation and cultural expression, establishing it as one of the most memorable editions in the college’s history. The closing day of the fest was marked by an exciting lineup of events and a star-studded Celebrity Night, making it a fitting finale to an electrifying celebration of youth and talent.
The final day featured a wide variety of engaging competitions and interactive sessions that showcased the creative and technical abilities of the students. Among the major highlights was the Tug of War for Girls, which drew loud cheers and enthusiastic participation. The competition was not only a test of strength but also of teamwork and strategy, leaving the audience thoroughly entertained.
Creative minds were on full display in events like Face Painting, where participants turned their imagination into artwork using faces as their canvas. Each piece conveyed a theme, ranging from environmental awareness to cultural diversity. The Reel Making competition saw budding content creators craft short videos on various social themes and campus life, demonstrating storytelling prowess in under a minute. The Photography Contest captured moments from across the fest — the joy, emotion, and energy of Provenance 5.0 — through the lens of passionate student photographers.
On the technical front, the IoT Design Challenge attracted innovation enthusiasts who presented practical and futuristic solutions using Internet of Things technology. Ideas ranged from smart home devices to automated campus systems, impressing both judges and spectators with their ingenuity.
Another crowd-puller was the Treasure Hunt, a high-energy game of clues, riddles, and teamwork that had students racing across the campus. The excitement, laughter, and unexpected twists made it one of the most enjoyed events of the day.
The grand finale of Provenance 5.0 was the much-anticipated Celebrity Night, which turned the college grounds into a concert arena. The Chief Guest for the evening was Mr. Ram Das Soren, Hon’ble Minister of School Education, Literacy, and Registration Department, Government of Jharkhand. In his address, Mr. Soren lauded the college’s academic excellence and cutting-edge infrastructure. He expressed pride in the institution, stating that it has carved a distinct identity in the field of engineering and professional education. “Graduates from this college are now holding top positions in multinational companies, which is a matter of pride for the entire state,” he said.
Mr. Soren emphasized the college’s focus on the all-around development of students — academic, co-curricular, and non-academic — and assured his full support for the institution’s continued progress. “I will extend all possible assistance to this college so that the tribal-dominated state of Jharkhand can progress at an even faster pace,” he affirmed.
He was welcomed and felicitated by Mr. Binda Singh, President of RVS Educational Trust, and Mr. Bharat Singh, Secretary, with a shawl and memento. The Treasurer Mr. Shatrughan Singh, Governing Body Member Mr. Shakti Singh, and Principal Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari were also present to welcome the guests.
The star attraction of the evening was renowned Bollywood playback singer Mohammad Irfan, who delivered a mesmerizing live performance. Starting with the soulful track “Dil Ki Sifaarish”, he followed with hits like “Tu Dua Hai” and “Phir Mohabbat”, captivating the audience who sang and danced along with him. His energetic stage presence and melodious voice made the night truly unforgettable. He, too, was honored with a shawl and memento by the dignitaries.
The event came to a close with a warm vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Sushant Mahanti, Coordinator of Provenance 5.0, who appreciated the collective efforts of students, staff, sponsors, and guests for making the fest a grand success.
