R.V.S. College of Engineering and Technology commemorated the 79th Independence Day with immense enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism. The campus was adorned with the colours of the national flag, creating a vibrant and patriotic atmosphere as students, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate this significant occasion.
The celebrations began with the flag hoisting ceremony, a moment of pride and reverence, led by the esteemed College Secretary, Shri Bharat Singh. He was joined by Treasurer Shri Shatrughan Singh, Governing Body Member Shri Shakti Singh, Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Head of the Training and Placement Department Dr. Vikram Sharma, along with other dignitaries, faculty members, and special invitees.
As the Tricolour was unfurled, the National Anthem was sung in unison, echoing the spirit of unity and pride in the nation’s freedom. The students of the college added to the patriotic fervour with heartfelt performances of patriotic songs, which stirred emotions and instilled a renewed sense of national pride among the attendees.
In his keynote address, Chief Guest Shri Bharat Singh paid rich tributes to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation’s independence. He reminded the gathering that Independence Day is not just a day of celebration but also a reminder of our responsibilities as citizens. He urged students to actively contribute to nation-building by embodying the values of discipline, integrity, and hard work.
Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, in his speech, emphasized the importance of education in shaping a stronger nation. He motivated students to pursue academic excellence and use their knowledge and skills to drive social and economic progress in the country.
The program concluded with the soulful singing of “Vande Mataram”, followed by the distribution of sweets among all attendees, symbolizing unity and joy. The event witnessed the enthusiastic participation of a large number of students, teachers, and staff, making it a memorable and inspiring celebration of India’s 79th year of independence.
