RVS College of Engineering and Technology inaugurated a two-week celebration marking Engineers’ Day and Hindi Divas Fortnight with great enthusiasm. Hindi Divas, observed on September 14, commemorates the adoption of Hindi as the official language by the Constituent Assembly in 1949, while Engineers’ Day, celebrated on September 15, honors the birth anniversary of India’s eminent engineer and statesman, Sir M. Visvesvaraya. The joint celebration is a delightful confluence of culture and innovation.

The inaugural session was graced by Mr. Ajit Kumar, Chief Manager, JBVNL, as the Chief Guest, and Mr. Gautam Rana, posted in Chaibasa from the same organization, as the Special Guest. The event was presided over by Mr. Bharat Singh, Secretary, RVS Educational Trust, and Mr. Shatrughna Singh, Treasurer. Other dignitaries included Mr. Shakti Singh, Governing Body Member, Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Principal of the College, and Prof. Thakur Pranav Kumar Gautam, Convener of the organizing committee.

The program commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by a welcome address by Prof. Gautam. The guests were honored with shawls, mementos, and floral bouquets. In his speech, Mr. Ajit Kumar encouraged students to build strong technical skills and meet future challenges with confidence. Mr. Bharat Singh motivated students, saying, “You are the future of our society. I see my success in your achievements.” Principal Dr. Tiwari emphasized the role of engineering in driving innovation and creation across all walks of life.

As part of the celebration, a poster-making competition was held on the theme “Deep Technology and Engineering Excellence: Accelerating India’s Technological Progress.” The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Sudhir Jha.
