A five-day workshop titled “Advanced IoT and its Applications: Hands-on Training Session” commenced today at R.V.S. College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur. The workshop is being organized jointly by the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering and the Circuitron Club. The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lamp lighting by the Chief Guest Mr. Ashish Kumar, Chief Manager, BEML Bengaluru; Mr. Binda Singh, President of the College; Mr. Bharat Singh, Secretary; Mr. Shatrughan Singh, Treasurer; Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, Principal; Dr. Vikram Sharma, Head of Training and Placement; Dr. Sharat Chandra Mahato, Dean; Prof. Krishna Murari; and Dr. Sushant Mohanty, Head of the Department, among other dignitaries.The session was chaired by Mr. Binda Singh, Chairman of the R.V.S. Educational Trust. On this occasion, Dr. Sushant Mohanty welcomed the guests with bouquets and mementos. He stated that the objective of this workshop is to familiarize students with the latest advancements in the Internet of Things (IoT) and provide them with practical, industry-oriented knowledge. Chief Guest Mr. Ashish Kumar, in his address, motivated the students by mentioning that he is an alumnus of the same college and credited the institution for its significant role in his professional success. He remarked, “If you confine yourself only to classroom studies, you will face challenges later. To succeed in today’s rapidly evolving technological world, it is essential to learn beyond textbooks and explore new technologies.” College Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh said that the college management aims to provide students with quality education along with all the necessary facilities so that they can contribute effectively to the nation’s development in future. Over the next five days, industry experts and technical trainers will provide students with practical training on topics such as IoT-based project development, sensor integration, cloud connectivity, and real-time data analysis. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be awarded certificates of participation.
