RVS College of Engineering and Technology (RVSCET), Jamshedpur, proudly celebrated National Youth Day with great enthusiasm and reverence to commemorate the 164th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, one of India’s greatest spiritual leaders and youth icons. The grand program was organized by the National Service Scheme (NSS) wing of the college, reflecting the institution’s commitment to nurturing values, leadership, and social responsibility among students.
The celebration began on an auspicious note with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. This was followed by a floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda, paying homage to his timeless teachings and profound contributions to Indian society and youth empowerment. The ceremony was gracefully led by the respected Training and Placement Officer, Dr. Vikram Sharma, along with esteemed faculty members including Dr. Sudhir Jha, Dr. Dilip Kumar Haldar, Prof. Puja Dutta, and other distinguished dignitaries, whose presence added dignity to the occasion.
A key highlight of the program was the inspiring address delivered by Dr. Dwapayan Mishra, who eloquently spoke about Swami Vivekananda’s vision for the youth of the nation. He emphasized the importance of character-building, self-confidence, discipline, and nation-building through education, encouraging students to adopt these ideals in their personal and professional lives.
The event was meticulously planned and executed under the able guidance of the Chief Programme Officer, Dr. D. K. Haldar, with active support from the Programme Officers and Dr. Rahidas Kumar. Their dedicated efforts ensured the smooth conduct and overall success of the program. The celebration proved to be a meaningful and inspiring tribute, reinforcing Swami Vivekananda’s ideals and motivating students to become responsible, confident, and value-driven citizens of the nation.
