The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) issued guidelines for the two-day workshop on Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship (IDE). The Capacity Building Workshop on IDE for District Education Officers (DEOs) and DIET members was organized on 20 and 21 November 2025. The Department of School Education & Literacy, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and the Ministry of Education Innovation Cell (MIC) jointly organized this two-day Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) for District Education Officers and DIET members. The objective of this workshop is to strengthen the skills of district-level education officials in the areas of innovation, creativity, design thinking, and entrepreneurship, in alignment with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This bootcamp was organized in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, known for its strong support in the field of entrepreneurship education.
Phase-3 of the IDE Capacity Building Workshop is scheduled to be held on 20 and 21 November 2025 at HEI Name, District, State. On 30 October 2025, Prof. Sitaram T.G., Chairman, AICTE, Shri Dheeraj Sahu, Additional Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy, and Dr. Abhay Jere, Vice Chairman, AICTE jointly inaugurated the Capacity Building Workshop on Innovation, Design and Entrepreneurship (IDE) for District Education Officers and DIET members across 25 states and 2 Union Territories. The state-level inauguration at HEI Name was conducted in the presence of eminent officials from the department and senior authorities of HEIs. More than 60 District Education Officers and DIET members participated.
The event promised a series of group activities, immersive working sessions, and engaging workshops designed to ignite creativity and problem-solving skills. Emphasizing collaboration and interactive learning, participants explored the “why,” “what,” and “how” of innovation. Throughout the program, attendees received valuable insights into the significance of innovation in education, learned practical strategies to drive change, and understood the power of entrepreneurial thinking. In continuation of the above context, on the second day of the workshop, an insightful presentation was delivered by Mr. Gopa Kumar Viswanathan, expert from the Wadhwani Foundation, through the School Innovation Council (SIC). He explained in detail various approaches for building, designing, and problem-solving. During his presentation, he also attempted to elaborate on children’s thought processes.He discussed research analysis, ideation, observation, and the subsequent implementation process. Following this presentation, a Panel Discussion was organized, in which experts such as Mrs. Sunanda Chandra Mauleshwar (DEO, Lohardagga), Mrs. Aproopa Paul Choudhary (DEO, Khunti), Mr. Akhilesh Kumar (APO, Ranchi), and Mr. Amit Kumar Mukherjee (ADPO, East Singhbhum) participated. The panel was moderated by Mr. Tejas Vijay Jadhav, expert from the Wadhwani Foundation. The workshop concluded with a closing ceremony in the presence of the Chief Guest Mr. Manoj Kumar Ranjan, Governing Body Member of RVS Educational Trust; Shakti Singh; Principal Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari; Associate Professor of Chemistry Dr. Vikram Sharma; Nodal Centre Head Mr. Sagar Hari Ramani; and Program SPOC Dr. Rakesh Kumar. All dignitaries on the stage presented certificates to the participants of the two-day workshop.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Rakesh Kumar, and the program was conducted by Dr. Sudhir Jha.
