Overview

The BCA department was established in 2023 and offers a 3-year undergraduate degree programme in Computer Application. The faculty is highly qualified, experienced, and provides excellent education. BCA focuses on the basics of software development and is considered equivalent to a B.Tech degree in Computer Science or IT. It is a popular course among students aspiring to establish a career in IT companies and new-age technology.

The Department offers a three-year BCA programme in six semesters. Programme is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and is Affiliated with the Jharkhand University of Technology. The Undergraduate Programme offered by the Department: BCA (3 years: 6 semesters)

The practical knowledge, which is an important part of a technical education, can be achieved by well equipped Computer Laboratory. The Computer Laboratory is a basic component of the Institute’s infrastructure, providing a wide range of support to the students and faculties involved in research and other academic activities. The Laboratories provides the hands-on need of today’s industry requirements and what they learn in the classrooms. All students have various Computer Science papers in their courses. The Computer Science & Engineering department is equipped with eight laboratories with over 520 Personal Computers available for conducting laboratory sessions. New and updated softwares as well as equipments are regularly incorporated in laboratories to give students an added advantage.The wide range of softwares to learn programming languages such as C, C++, Java, BASIC, MATLAB, Rational Rose, ORACLE etc. is installed on computers. All the laboratories are internally networked allowing students to learn the harnessing capabilities of a network and also to remotely access resources at any point of time. The Computing Lab is an academic department within the Campus that encompasses Computer Science, along with many aspects of Engineering, Technology and Mathematics.
