A lecture program on environmental awareness was organized at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, with environmentalist Mr. Arindam Ghosh from R.S.V. Global Venue as the chief speaker. The event began with the college principal, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, welcoming Mr. Ghosh with a bouquet of flowers and a memento. In his welcome address, Prof. Tiwari emphasized the importance of preserving the environment, despite the progress made in science and technology. He urged Mr. Ghosh to enlighten everyone on the necessary actions for environmental preservation.
During his lecture, Mr. Ghosh highlighted the severe impact of environmental pollution on our lives, stressing the dangers posed by water, air, and noise pollution. He called for urgent steps to address these issues, especially the pollution of natural water bodies like rivers and ponds. Mr. Ghosh also pointed out the pollution caused by industrial activities and advocated for scientific solutions to mitigate air pollution.
After the lecture, Prof. Tiwari, along with other faculty members, took Mr. Ghosh on a tour of the campus. Mr. Ghosh praised the college’s environmental initiatives, such as water harvesting systems, extensive tree plantation, and the lush greenery. Dr. Vikram Sharma concluded the event by delivering the vote of thanks.
