Fahad Mehmood, a fourth-semester student pursuing a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) degree at RVS College of Engineering and Technology, Jamshedpur, has developed an innovative mobile app. The app was part of a competition organized under the “Developed India and Developed Jharkhand” mission, initiated by Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi. This multi-tier competition aimed to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students. It began at the institutional level, followed by a state-level round hosted by BIT Sindri, with the final phase held at JUT, Ranchi. The event saw participation from numerous students across the state, who presented their unique innovations. Among the 30 teams selected for the final round, Fahad’s app, “DigiMazdoor,” stood out and received considerable recognition. DigiMazdoor is designed to streamline and organize daily household tasks efficiently. It offers service providers estimated earnings while providing users with cost-effective solutions. The app fosters transparency and ensures better coordination between workers and service seekers. It operates on a subscription-based model, ensuring immediate communication for complaints or issues. Fahad was guided by Professors Yogendra and Prabhat Purushottam, who mentored him through the project. Professor (Dr.) Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, the principal of RVS College, highlighted that JUT awarded the app a grant of ₹30,000, and assured full support for its further development.
