Jamshedpur, April 15: A two-day international conference on the latest trends in computer science and technology commenced today at the local RVS College of Engineering and Technology. This marks the fifth conference jointly organized by IEEE Kolkata and RVS College. Guests were welcomed in the college auditorium, after which the chief guest, Dr. D.K. Singh, Vice Chancellor of Jharkhand Technological University, inaugurated the conference by lighting the lamp. Alongside the chief guest, special guests on the stage included Prof. Dr. Bhaskar Gupta (IEEE Kolkata), Prof. Dr. Abu Bakar Bin Abdul Hamid (Infrastructure University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia), Prof. Dr. G. Sahu (ISMIITA Dhanbad), and President Mr. Vinda Singh, Secretary Mr. Bharat Singh, Treasurer Mr. Shatrughan Singh, Executive Member Mr. Shakti Singh, and Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari. In his inaugural speech, Chief Guest Dr. DK Singh addressed the students, researchers, and guests, emphasizing that Artificial Intelligence presents challenges alongside its benefits, particularly regarding the proliferation of fake videos. Special guest Prof. Dr. G. Sahu highlighted the importance of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in his address, while keynote speaker Prof. Abu Bakar Bean discussed the role of Artificial Intelligence, especially during the pandemic. In this sequence, the online guest Prof. Dr. SM Mahboob Ul Haq Majumdar (Vice Chancellor Daffodil University International University: Bangladesh) stressed the necessity of Artificial Intelligence in various fields. The conference commenced with the welcome speech by the Principal, followed by Secretary Ti Bharat Singh’s address encouraging students to strive for excellence, contributing to the college’s and their own reputation throughout India.
