RVS College of Engineering & Technology successfully organized a Parents’ Meeting under the initiative titled “Coffee with Parents,” a platform designed to strengthen communication between the institution and parents while reviewing students’ academic progress and overall development. Such meetings are conducted periodically by the college to ensure transparency and collaboration in nurturing students’ academic excellence, discipline, and career readiness.

The primary objective of the session was to apprise parents of their wards’ academic performance, attendance records, behavioral aspects, and areas that require improvement. The event witnessed an encouraging turnout of parents, who actively participated in discussions and shared their feedback with the faculty and administration.

Welcoming the gathering, the Principal, Prof. Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, highlighted the institution’s commitment to holistic education. He emphasized that, apart from the regular academic curriculum, students are strongly encouraged to enroll in skill development programs such as NPTEL courses, an initiative of the IITs. He further informed that the college reimburses the full registration fee for students who successfully complete these courses, thereby motivating them to enhance their knowledge and employability skills. Additionally, he mentioned that students are regularly sent to reputed institutions across the country to gain exposure to emerging technologies and industry practices. He also urged parents to cooperate with the college in maintaining 100 percent attendance of their wards to ensure consistent academic progress.

Dr. Vikram Sharma, Chairman of Training & Placement (T&P), provided insights into the college’s placement achievements. He stated that approximately 60 to 70 companies visit the campus annually for recruitment, with nearly 80 to 85 percent of students securing placements each year. He reiterated the institution’s strong focus on skill development and industry-oriented training.

Expressing his satisfaction with the enthusiastic participation of parents, the College Treasurer, Mr. Shatrughan Singh, noted that such interactive programs play a vital role in the continuous growth and development of the institution.

The program was smoothly conducted by Dr. Sudhir Jha, while Dr. Surya Bahadur efficiently coordinated the event, ensuring its success.
