RVS College of Engineering and Technology hosted a two-day boot camp centered on Innovation, Design, and Entrepreneurship. The event, inaugurated virtually by AICTE Chairman Prof. (Dr.) T.G.Sitaram, brought together prominent figures including Vipin Kumar from the Department of School Education and Literacy (DOSEL) and Dr. Abhay Jere from the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell.The boot camp aims to enhance the skills of students, researchers, teachers, and principals from PM SHRI schools, with a special focus on fostering innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. Organized by the Department of Education and Literacy, AICTE, and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, in collaboration with the Wadhwani Foundation, the initiative strives to drive scientific curiosity and practical applications of innovative ideas.The closing session of the first day featured NIT Jamshedpur Director, Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Sutradhar, who discussed the refinement of innovation in today’s context. Shraddha Agarwal, CEO of Izzki Technology, also engaged participants on related topics. With 204 participants registered, the boot camp promises to equip attendees with essential skills, knowledge, and inspiration to become future innovators and leaders in their fields. The second session was led by Dr. Ruchi Gautam Pant from the Wadhwani Foundation, who offered insights into securing financial assistance from the central government for innovation, design, and entrepreneurship in small industries. She outlined the steps involved in applying for government support and encouraged the students to foster self-sustaining environments by leveraging these resources.
Chief Guest Uday Shankar Sharma, Plant Head of FiltraGuard Filters Private Limited, highlighted key aspects of innovation during the inauguration ceremony. Distinguished guests such as Shivendra Mani Tripathi, Regional Coordinator of AICTE, and Dr. Avinav Kumar from the Wadhwani Foundation, also emphasized the importance of nurturing innovation in Jharkhand. Secretary Bharat Singh, praised the central government’s initiative, aligning it with national development goals and Principal,Dr. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari, warmly welcomed the attendees and reinforced the institution’s dedication to supporting such programs.
The two-day IDE Bootcamp, concluded on a high note, featuring a range of insightful and interactive sessions. The day kicked off with an industrial visit to the Auto-Cluster in Adityapur, where students and teachers from PM SHRI School explored various training programs in design, software, hardware, die-designing, and product sampling. This hands-on experience gave the participants valuable exposure to real-world industrial processes.
In the third session, Suraj Kumar,CEO of TAXMIN, inspired participants with a session on the role of innovation in everyday life. He explained how ordinary items have evolved through innovative processes, driving home the importance of creativity in problem-solving. Jharkhand Technical University Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dharmendra Kumar Singh, also addressed the participants virtually, stressing the role of innovation and entrepreneurship in societal progress.
Shivendra Tripathi, Regional Coordinator of the Innovation Cell, Ministry of Education, expressed his delight at the success of the event. He reaffirmed the ministry’s dedication to nurturing innovation and supporting industrial growth through such initiatives.
The bootcamp concluded with a valedictory ceremony where RVS Educational Trust Chairman, Mr. Binda Singh, Treasurer, Mr. Shatrughan Singh, and Governing Body Member, Mr. Shakti Singh distributed certificates to all participants. Dr.Vikram sharma,head training and placement,delivered the vote of thanks, expressing appreciation to all the guests, speakers, and participants for their contributions.
The bootcamp proved to be a valuable learning experience, inspiring students and educators alike to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship.
